Tsunami Siren Warning System
A tsunami siren warning system is a crucial part of a community’s disaster preparedness infrastructure, specifically designed to alert people about the imminent threat of a tsunami. These sirens are equipped with loudspeakers and are usually operated by local emergency management agencies or other relevant authorities. Enviromet Technologies has formed a partnership with the primary distributor of siren products based in Denmark.
Why Choose This system
Weather warnings for all
With a high-decibel siren, our warnings reach everyone in the area.
Be ready
Set weather-triggered alerts based on condition, location, and distance. Data puts you in a position to act.
Automate mass alerts
Alerts and notifications help authorities communicate evacuation orders and provide information on available shelters.
How it Works
System operates in several steps:
- Tsunamis are often triggered by underwater earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. When the sensor is detecting these events, the data will be recorded, log via data logger and transmit to the main control centre.
- The monitoring centre generates an alert, detailing information likely arrival time and the vulnerable regions.
- When a credible tsunami threat is detected, the siren will be activated to broadcast a loud and distinct warning signal. The variation of omni-directional speaker cells will indicate a sound pressure level required.
- The siren system can be remotely controlled, allowing the operators to activate pre-recorded announcement that provide spoken instructions in multiple languages.
Benefits
- We provide actionable information for enhancing mission readiness and community preparedness.
- When you know what’s happening around, you can fine-tune your approach. And if it needs your immediate attention, automated mobile alerts will let you know.
